O/T:Rooted Andriod Phones
#19
Trying a new build on my hd2:
[BUILD][18.12.2010] darkstone SuperRAM FroYo v1.5 [kernel: Hastarin custom]
It loads the entire o/s filesystem into ram before boot so it's super fast. Not even the factory android phones are this fast o.o
So far so good, seems stable. Although some of the feature and functionality are still being worked on.

Rooted my phone using OCLF,..
Still using Eclair 2.1 update 1 for software and using Opera as my web browser..
Web browser with Dolphin or original was the only thing I didnt like compared to the IPhone until I got the Opera one.. Stock the Captivate was horrible with the lag, GPS, and web browsing speed,..Ironically DL Iphone Theme which makes it eye appealing to me and out of the box the IPhone still is the most friendliest user.
Anyone got thoughts on Cognition or what is the best ROM to use that wont eat battery life or cause problems? I may try them out but would like to know what they do as I heard Cognition "talks" to you on installation, but any other trick stuff it does?

Running rooted vibrant with stock rom. I use it for tether and framework customization. I don't think any of the roms out for the vibrant are stable yet. I'm watching the gingerbread nexus s rom thread tho, looks promising. Coming from a myTouch 3g with cyanogenmod6 nightlies and having far to many FC to be confortable with, I'm happy with my stable stock rom customized to my liking.

You're going to be waiting a long time.

Does everything work? GPS/WiFi/3G/Phone? Everytime I see some cool rom, it ends up being cripled by one of the major things I use everyday not working.
