Not reaching target boost
Aloha, I have a 2003 WRX wagon with the following modifications
STi pink injectors
STi TMIC
Cheepo JDM tdo5h 16g turbo
Cobb sf intake
Cobb AP
Perrin turbo inlet hose
Catless turbo back exhaust
Helix downpipe
Walbro FP
Restrictor pill machined
HSK BOV
I use 92 octane and I’m running a stage 3 cobb map. The car runs good. Starts right up, no back fires, no burps, and idles fine. My issues are I cannot hit target boost (18 lbs.) until redline :/ and my afr is very sporadic but likes to hang out at 15.6-15.7. The car has not been pro tuned. I would like to figure out what the problem is before i get it tuned. I have replaced the coil packs and the sparkplugs and did a compression test which checked out good. I took a data log and will attach for you guys to see. I have not ran the car hard since I took this last log and am hesitant to even drive it. I would like to know if anyone knows what could be the problem? I’m thinking I might have a leak somewhere. Does anyone have a smoke tester I can use? I’m down to buy beers and plate lunch if any of you would be so kind to help. Thank you all for reading my post.

The log that I posted should have a column for A/F learning1 (%). Im not sure if thats the same as AFR?? But I know it has another column that reads throttle pos (%) which reads 100 all the way down so yes I was WOT for this log. It should also have a column for rpms.

This log is at WOT. I'm completely aware that my car is running lean. I'm trying to track down a smoke tester to rule out any possible leaks. Aloha

no luck
I made a smoke tester out of a shop vac, a bucket with a lid, some hosing material, and a fat cigar. I was hoping I had a leak so that it would be an easy fix but I have absolutley no leaks. Now that I have ruled out leaks what is the next step in figuring out my boost/AFR issues? Aloha

Id do what kboehme said. In the mean time u can go to pdx website and requst a temp map. Fill out the map request form and make sure to select "deposit for tune" option so the 150 is subtracted from tune amount when they get here in march (feb 28 the rest of payment/dyno fees collected by dan). I wouldn't b doing anymore wot pulls till I got a temp map if I were u.

assuming the car is mechanically sound, you need a tune.....
"machined restricter pill"
Assuming this boring out the pill, this will allow more pressure into your wastegate actuator. This will cause your boost target to be off (lower) unless you tune your ECU's waste gate map assuming you are using the ECU to control boost.. you'll need a tune or learn how to do so to correct this.
"A/F learning1 (%)"
This does not apply to WOT. This only applies to idle, low load driving when the edu is in "closed loop" I believe the ECU will not correct fuel during WOT in "open loop".. it refers to a map which needs a tune... you'll need a tune or learn how to do so to correct this.
AFR
You need to log an external wideband sensor, the stock sideband sensor is inaccurate in boost. I believe this is due to its location it is installed.. you'll need to purchase an aftermarket wideband sensor capable of logging through a computer or your tuning software. This needs to be installed after your turbo.

^ in addition to what Jimi said.
Without a wideband, the logs are useless for troubleshooting fueling issues at WOT.
The AFL1 is only applied to closed loop trims for learned values of emissions efficiency and what your mixture is like after combustion to maintain a stoich AFR at 14.7. Under heavy acceleration and WOT, the stock sensor just can't keep up with the velocity and boost levels.
I suggest you keep at it with the diagnostics. A wideband log in this case would've definitely sped up the process but at least now you'll be able to cross your Ts with checking your fittings and plumbing for any pre-turbo leaks and vac leaks.
While a tune won't cover up or erase any pre-existing issues with the car, unless it correlates directly with the OTS map itself, which I doubt as the OTS maps are conservative in fueling and timing parameters, you definitely should consider getting a "custom" tune to not only maximize your potential, but to get it tuned to your driving style and delivery of power.
