This is the first year I'm considering myself a hawaii resident (since I own property now). Suffice to say that I'm getting back like 20% of what I was getting returned when I was still a Guam resident

Sorry, but I am not from Here... but live here... I do not see why we get taxes since we are getting a refund, because maybe in my country I don't pay Income Taxes!
this is out of subject, but feel that taxes are unfair! this my 3rd year filling out taxes and dam...
Anyway...

To me...taxes are kinda like our little responsibility to support/give back to our country and make it a better place. But damn...the people who are in charge of spending it don't make me very optimistic. That's why I'd rather give to charity.
Next year, I gotta either give more money to charity or buy property. I'm even thinking about buying a small portion of land (something inexpensive like Kalihi) and using that as my write-off.

So anyways...I owed the Fed $60 and the State owes me $150...combined I'm getting $90 (then you take out the $20 fee I paid which gives me $70...yay?).
