245s were too wide for a DD when I had rhe 17's and happy with 235 tires now. The ride seems much better for some reason and I had Kumho MX's on the 17 which were suppsd to have softer sidewalls.
To early to judge the performance of the 760 sport, but with the rebate and tire size availability from TireRack, Im totally happy. Cant go too wrong with Name Brand...

Nothing really on an 8" or bigger wheel, like most STI. I think the wider tire looks nicer too.
A lot of legacys run 7.5" at close to stock offset though. He didn't answer the width question. Shouldn't be an issue on an 8" or 8.5" rim though unless there are clearance issues

The Rims are Rota G-Forces 18x8.5", I like the silver color better than the gold as it offsets the Black nicely.
I had gold ADVAN RGII 17x8.5 with 245/40/17's not too long ago and I had some rubbing on the inner plastic fender on the pass side. The road hum was either the bad bearing I had fixed or the tires. Maybe the tread width is wider for the Kumho MXs? I get no rubbing with the current setup.
Anyways,..the ride and feel of the Potenza 760 Sport must be the difference. Feels great on roads, not harsh at all. I know with the Rotas at 21lb/wheel isnt light, but its a good compromise for the price and a DD.
