Car Info: STi (cornering, accelerating and braking hard).
I was sitting in my office today and looked outside on the street and saw a Suzuki Aerio(?). It had the same five door hatch profile and roof wing like the STi.
In fact so many hatches have that same look - Mazdaspeed 3, Ford Focus, Audi A3, etc.
Some of the original identity of the Imprezza has been lost with this new design.

Dammit, that Mazda station wagon is growing on me. Red tail lights look *way* better than the Super Ricer™ crap they come with standard. Now ditch the stupid useless fake vent on the front bumper sides and I'd consider it

Looks like 4 piston calipers. 6 piston would have been nice but 4 piston has never let me down at the track. Since we don't have a track, they are all for show for now. I like the grillework in the side vent too.
I surely hope that we get Recaros too. They may even have side impact airbags in them as indicated by the little tag near the outboard shoulder.

The more I see, the more I like. The interior looks fantastic, finally a real seat for the STi. I also noticed no throttle cable on the engine bay, so all JDM/USDM have electronic throttle control. I love my peanut-eye, but I am really tempted.

Just based entirely on looks, I do not like it.
When I think "Subaru WRX/STI" I think "bare bones sport-tuned ride". I understand they re designed the Impreza models to appeal to a wider audience, but come on, did they really have to do the Matrix/Mazda 3 SUV cross over thing and call it a hatch.
I guess I like Subaru because they were different (who else would put a giant hood scoop on a station wagon?) and looking at these pictures I just feel like its another one of "those" cars.
