I have a 04 WRX that has a blown rod bearing (I think). I just got here and my car should be here next week. I am thinking of a 2.5 instead of a 2.0 and a short block is not out of the question. I don't have heads for a 2.5 shortblock but I think something can be done to the WRX heads to make them work. I don't know where to do the work (maybe myself with some help, but otherwise I would have to pay someone to do the work). A new engine would be easier to swap in, but more expensive overall I think. I am looking for some help in sourcing an engine locally. I also might be able to do the 6 spd swap, if I can find everything for the right price, any help on either is appreciated.
