Hmm, I wonder what brought this on?
I'm going to call Subaru to see if there is a longer O2 sensor for the exhaust. Apparently the Wagon one is shorter than the Sedan one. If there's not, then I may be doing a little wire splicing (unless someone has a better idea).
Anyone know how much a new O2 sensor costs from Subaru?

P.S. Thanks Dan. Sorry I made you miss "The Shield"

But then again it was dark and we were using a knife, and "playschools" my first tool kit.

I just pulled the O2 sensor all the way up to the intercooler to make sure that it wasn't tied up. Trying to figure out how to re-route the O2 line back to the cat and I don't think it's possible. I was reading up about the purpose of that O2 sensor and it seems the only reason that it exists is to see if my cats are running efficiently... Therefore I can drive my car and throw a CEL, but it will be alright because it won't affect my A/f ration and catch me running lean (biggest fear).
For now I'm going to dick around with my car and try to get the line down to the cat, however if I can't then I'm going to go to Radio Shack and get some wires and extend the length of my O2 wires so it fits, and then order the MIL eliminator and reset my ECU when I get it. Let me know what you think

Success!
First off, thanks to Dan for saving my @ss last night. I really owe you, I'll be by your house in a few with a case of beer. No $hit.
Sean: Don't let this go to your head, but you were right. I discovered that the place where the wire "connected to the engine" was actually a little plastic hook that the wires attached to. Looked like something else last night. I unhooked the wires, ran them down the passenger's (opposite of stock) side of the transmission, tied them off (not with zip ties, but ask Dan about my selection of tools... no wait he already told you) and tightened down the O2 sensor with PLENTY of wire to spare.
Going for a test drive and to buy beer. Thanks for putting up with my n00b ****. Pray for no CEL's for me.
So very true

You don't have to buy me any beer. Just don't work on your car at night anymore.
How do you like it?
