New Guy

Just recently picked up a 2013 STI hatch, Looking at doing some mods to it. I really hate the headlights as they are chrome and want to remedy it with how the 08-11 models were, anyone know of any shops that do this to open up the lens and paint them? I was thinking of trying it myself.

Any trusted shop on oahu, you guys take your vehicles to for modifications, I will be putting BC BR coilovers, with either Work 18x10 +18mm Xd9s or Work 11R-FT 18.9.5 +15mm rims and Rear camber arm for the drop and rim combo and need a shop to help with install and fender rolling.

When are the subie meats?

Thanks

Can I ask, why BC coilovers? I know they are inexpensive but if I HAD an STi, I would only put quality parts.

There's a meat tonight in Ewa, next to the Starbucks. It starts at around 9ish but it'd be better to show up around 10 to be safe. I'd come to this one, from the activity on the forums this week, this should be a good turn out!

Nothing wrong with BC's. I am using them on both my Evo and GC. And yes I have pushed them hard.

Even if used for daily driving? I've read a lot of people saying that the ride quality isn't the greatest. But shoot that's good to know that people enjoy them.

I've heard good things about BC and some bad things. They do what I need them to do and gets me back and fourth from work and home. I would like to come but am stuck at work all night. I am hoping to have a lot of my parts coming in the next few months. Cant wait to get my new STI low.

This is true. The things I've read could easily have been regurgitated. My bad.

Thats great, Good to know BC's are good to go. Anyone know if its normal to hear a whine in your engine when going from 1-2 gear kind of sounds like your going in reverse with the trans. New to the subie scene so New engine noises are ???? to me lol

Hahaha, yes it is. I freaked out when I first heard it. I went to the dealer three times to finally get a tech that knew what he was talking about. Turns out its the rear differential. Due to the gearing, the trans tends to whine at lower rpm's.

Congrats on the pickup downfall!

Also, on the BC coils. A couple of my friends have bc coil overs, one a ms3 and the other a 2012 sedan. They say that the ride quality has gone down, but it serves its purpose. I was actually looking at bc coils also.
