New to the forums

Just picked up a 2011 WRX this past Sunday and a friend of mine highly recommended I get on these forums. So here I am, my name is Keola and I look forward to meeting you all some day.

Also, I'm looking for any information that I could possibly get regarding the car I purchased. I've attached pictures to this thread. The car was traded into Auto XChange and the only information they could really tell me was that the previous owner traded it in for a BMW M3.

Thanks in advance!

Don't know about the car, but I would have been skeptical about buying a modified car from one of those used car "dealers". Looks like it has coilovers, so you're gonna need to get recon.

Yeah I'm already looking up the Recon process. Thankfully this forum is full of information on it.

Though i agree, if a dude spent about a G on a TMIC, id say its realistic that the person that owned it before also got a tune and all that jazz. looks like it has a aftermarket BPV but it recircs. Over all welcome man!

Thanks man. The car did come with an AP and is currently running a Stage 3 tune from Torque Performance. It also has a Stage 2 map from them as well. Checked out their site today and I'm pretty sure it's not the custom option but could possibly be their OTS maps.

Well from the pics I have seen it has an aftermarket tmic, bov, Cobb short ram intake, intake manifold, and some suspension work, guessing an exhaust too huh.

I agree I typically wouldn't buy a modded car but depending on who did the work and what parts they used. What kind of mileage does the car have on it? If I were you I'd iron out the mods and make sure everything's on the up and up with them.

It does have a TBE. I've been looking at the car and from what I can tell (and I'm no expert by any means) things seem to be pretty legit. Work doesn't seem shoddy at all. I'm hoping I can track down the former owner on here or ateast find someone that knows the car to get a better history. Until then I'll keep looking over things.

Successfully tracked down the former owner of the vehicle and spoke with him today. He's a cool dude and now I know exactly what's on the car. Thanks, Kevin (Loading...)!
