That's cool as **** that it hit 12's with just a tune. But would I buy one, I doubt it. I'd rather get a fxt lol.

Impressive considering the thing weighs more the Jupiter.

Yups, been following this since Chris posted it. I think it was supposedly in competition with the Leggy GT. And IIRC, its twin turbo. ej22tt clone in the ford sho??HmMmmMmm?? Get ready, you'll see it on the road with the PoPo surf racks.

That's what i've been saying for a while. (walt remembered ).

And who would pay 37k? It's the new Ford.
The same people who are paying $60k for the NEW camaro. And yes, people are paying that price.

definitely not bad. i'd rather tune my z32tt considering it's already paid for, but i gotta get back to my dad's place in cali. and then gotta tweak stuff considering it's probably been sitting for the last 2 years.

The new Ford is supposedly much better in terms of quality of materials used and longevity of the car. The SHO is a direct competitor to the BMW 335xi and to that a very good one. $47k 335xi or a $37k SHO? Take a look inside the interior of the car, it is very nice.

kinda makes you laugh subaru will go unchanged with the impreza line into 2010 and yet you've got mitsubishi, mazda, hyundai, nissan and now ford making high preformance cars that would put the hammer down on cars (sti, wrx) that up until recently were feared on the streets. If you really do some research most automakers are running sub 14 sec in at least one of their cars seemsto me subaru needs to step up or step out!

Agreed however I believe the Taurus is too big to directly compete with the 3-series. I'd say Ford had the 5-series, E-class, etc. in mind from strictly a size standpoint. Or you may be right, they may be saying "pay $10K less for a car on par in performance but much bigger for the money".

Either way, I like the new SHO and if I could afford it as a daily with the WRX as teh fun car I would consider it. That and I work with a lot of union people who always get mad at people driving imports (which is BS but whatevers).

Agreed as well.

The WRX should be stock at 300hp and the STi should be stock at 350-375hp at this point. I find it kind of sad that Subaru engines have stayed pretty much static as far as the technology other than small / non-revolutionary improvements (WRX with bigger turbo and new tune).

Why can't Suby step to the plate with a new engine design (Mazda and Mitsu) or at least modify the boxer with direct injection or valve controlled intakes (rather than throttle plate type)? Crap, even if they just added E85 compatibility to our cars (with a higher HP tune) I would be happy.

The only big powertrain develoments in the last few years have been:

1. The current Flat-6 in the Legacy, Outback and Tribeca...the thing runs on 87 and gets about the same power as the old one...that's good but not great considering the EJ257 generates more power in a smaller package.
2. CVT Tranny...good for the N/A engine and great MPG.
3. Develoment of a 2.0 Flat-4 Turbo-Diesel...which may or may not come to the U.S.

Correct me if I'm wrong but those are the only big changes I have seen.
