New Downpipe en route

I just ordered a catless Helix Downpipe to mate up with my HKS Carbon Ti exhaust.. also ordered the Cobb AP so I can better manage the engine and prevent overboost. I also have heard nothing but good things about the Cobb.

My question is; will a place like Exhaust Systems Hawaii install a catless downpipe? Have any of you had downpipes installed? If so where did you go? I got my exhaust in Kailua at Exhaust Systems, they were really cool over there.

yea it's cheaper to do it yourself but if you don't like messing with things you know nothing about, go see ryan at vakamon.

yea I definitely want someone who knows their stuff messing with the Downpipe.. I heard you gotta be super careful not to **** anything up down there?

I think I will either take it to Exhaust systems or Ryan at Vokamon

i have done 3 dp in like 2 hours or so taking my time i would say the hardest thing is manuevering around the dp trying to get bolts out of awkward areas. other than that just make sure you spray them down with liquid wrench b4 starting. honestly you can do it yourself and save money but preferably if you know someone here that knows how to do it that is willing to watch over that would be better. goodluck

I would let someone do it as long as they know what they are doing... i'm not too familiar with downpipes and exhaust systems..

4080,

you said you've put three dp's on the wrx/STi??? do you have a garage and all the tools? how much would you charge to do it?

it should be easy, i just hope u dont have some really siezed nuts or bolts like others had. even after reading all the write ups and all i was still scared at first so i had a friend guide me too. it was jus simply unbolt and bolt, the hard part is getting good leverage and reaching some bolts but thats it...
