Need Some Help!

Well I just got home from shopping and while I was on the freeway I got on and off the gas and my BOV went off a few times (hehehe I'm a ricers). Any way, my car is running really rich now (i think this cuase I see wet spots on my bumper from the fuel the engine hasn't burned off correctly). Would this cause my car to bog when I step on the gas? If so are there ways to get rid of the rich condition? Should I just reset the ECU?

Jon

Do you think this has anything to do with the knocking noise you were hearing on Saturday while reving the motor? Maybe the two conditions are related.

Has the noise gone away? How is the car driving other than the soot and the bog? Smooth idle? MPG? Power?

Is your BOV leaking? Try swapping your stock valve back on...

I don't think the BOV is leaking since it connects to a different location than the stock BOV area! I think the noise is still there I'll let you know about it... I just took off my dash area that has the vin number on it and glued those clips (saw some place that that was the cause of a wierd noise that they couldn't find). Idle is a little rough (the car shakes more i think).

MPG has gone down I think it's because I'm running really rich... I have wet spots on my exhaust finisher and little black oily spots on my bumper sometimes.

The power DOES NOT feel the same.. at about 5K it takes a while for it to go to redline

Also while we're troubleshooting my car.. (sometimes) if im at partial throttle the car sounds like it spooling the turbo but it's a lot louder and doesn't have that nice winding noise. The car kinda shakes a lot.. I still get full post but it's like I'm spooling up an already spooled up turbo and it's back peddling (if this make sence) all this is done on the freeway cruising at about 70~80MPH.

Please help me out MASTER TECH!

do you have a broadway mirror?

For weeks, I couldnt figure out this horrible rattling sound. It drove me crazy. I found out it was the mirror making the rattling sound.

Just thought I'd ask since your ripping your dash apart Probably unrelated, but worth a check if you have it.

I backfire a lot now all this was noticed after i put on the bov though!

I just keep making it tighter.

Maybe you can put paper or something behind the mirror to "take up the slack"

btw, what BOV do you have?

Maybe it's my spark plugs... I haven't changed those in a while and I'm running NGK 6097 PKR7E's it must be a couple thousand miles before I've changed those!
