Need advice...

Question 1:

Which [Oahu] shop performs the best alignment job on Subaru's (or cars in general)? Traditionally, I've gone to Lex Brodie on Queen but have often wondered if there was some place better.

Question 2:
Which brake pads would you recommend for the STi? I'm leaning toward Axxis Ultimates (after talking to Ryan at SG) or Project Mu's (after talking to Jeremiah)...something along the lines of street/performance/low dusting (stops at least as good as the stock pads, isn't hard on the rotors, and generates little to no dust--if there is such a pad).

Thanks.

Progect Mu all the way. I got the Taitan Kai's and they stop me so hard that my neck is in pain ! Island Brake and Alignment is the only place I go to get my alignments done.

Pacific Automotive & Performance on Queen. They've been doing modified cars and trucks for a long time. Island Brake used to be one I'd recommend....but I've heard a number of not so good things the last couple years.

I second the recommendation for Pacific Auto. They do great work.

Pacific Auto would be my first choice and my second would either be Flag Ship auto in Wahiawa, talk to the owner and tell him you're there for specific spec's. Or Wahiawa Cheveron. Wes the owner, who races SOLO I will get it to the spec's you want. All 3 are capable. As for pads, what's your purpose. I run in SCCA SOLO II and slam my breaks hard on stock pads and have great times, N I break late.

I have used the Axxis pads on my RS and loved them and I now have the Project Mu NS pads and also love them. The NS might be more what your looking for if you do more street driving which I tend to do and my gold wheels are going on three weeks without being washed and are still almost perfectly clean...Yes it's been almost three weeks since I washed my car..I did however clean the inside.

Guess it's Pacific Automotive & Performance and Project Mu NS pads.

Thanks all!
