Name that movie (from the trailer)

Name: Kowalsky
Occupation: Driver
Transporting a supercharged Dodge Charger from Denver to San Fransisco.
Background: Medal of Honor in Vietnam. Former stock and bike racer. Former cop; dishonorably discharged.
Now he uses speed…to get himself up…to get himself…gone.

Everybody’s after Kowalsky.
[passenger] “…because you think we’re queers.”
…for one reason or another.
[naked girl on bike] “Is there something I could do for you?”
[Kowalsky] “well, like what?”
[ng] “like anything you want?”
Everybody wants a piece of his hide.
[pursuing cop] “Maybe he killed somebody. Maybe he stole that big dude of his. Maybe both”
[another cop] “I’ll get that son of a..{switch sound to siren}
They want to Get’im; and put him away. But they’ll have to catch him first.
[radio DJ] “aaaaa, that’s a 10-4. This is yours truly. Super duper Soul. The best in transmittin’ from KOW. With a wham bam, zoom boom wake up music.”
[music and more chase scene break]
[DJ] “…and there goes the Challenger. Bein’ chased by the blue, blue meanies on wheels. The vicious traffic squares after a lone ride. The super driver of the Golden West. The police numbers are getting closer, closer, closer to our sole hero in his soul mobile. They’re gonna get him, smash him, arrest him. The last American here.”
It’s maximum trip, at maximum speed.

Notes: Things I didn't pick up on the last time I watched it....

This guy is amping...drugs and speed. Ha. Sort of like smoking a cigarette with snuff in your mouth.

His suspension sucks ballz.

The cops pursuing him in cop cars (vs. the bikes, of course) are wearing helmets.

The guy in the Jag convertible would be ****ing dead. No two ways about it.

The revival leader's name is Jay Hovah.

Here's the actual quote from the DJ, Super Soul:
"There goes the challenger being chased by the big blue meanies on wheels. The vicious traffic squad cars are after our lone driver, the last American hero, the electric sintar, the demi-god, the super driver of the golden west! Two nasty **** cars are close behind the beautiful lone driver. The police cars are getting closer-closer... Closer to our soul hero in his soul mobile- Yeah baby! They about to strike, They gonna get him, SMASH! RAPE! The last beautiful free soul on this planet."
They truncated it for the trailer.

Robert Donner, who played Exidor on Mork and Mindy, was one of the main cops.

John Amos, who played James Evans Sr. (the father) on Good Times, plays the radio station engineer who gets his *** kicked when the locals try to shut them down.
