My latest purchase, debt and loans are a b!tch

I'm doing a heart transplant into my Unicorn:

Pictures curtosy of dbrier on NASIOC. This is a 2004 STi with no damage to anything that really matters. The engine, transmission, r180 rear diff and rear subframe are all untoched. This car has just onder 2,700 miles on it. It hadn't even had its first oil chance. I will be taking the stock bumper off of this and am going to prepare to take my STi back to stock as soon as the first WRB, Gunmetal or Aspen White 2006 STi hit the local dealers lot here. Then I'll be trading in. I have my new clutch sitting in my trunk ready to go in my STi. I haven't had time to install it yet, but when I do I should be running better times. I've been too the track twice with the STI, and I ran a 12.9 @ 107 Tuesday. That was with a 1.89 60'. I should have sub 1.70 60's once my clutch can hold the power. I'll keep you guys updated. There are parts I'll be selling of the crashed STI, that you guys and the local Indiana guys will have first dibs on. Tell me if you see something that you want.

hey thats a nice find!
If you are having second thought on the engine/wiring or the entire car let me know. I'll buy it from you.

Yeah, nice find. IMHO, there is to much headache for the transplant. The gauge cluster and the fuel tank alone is a biatch. Just sell it to Ed and I.

If not, can I have the scoop, fog covers, trunk spring assembly, and headlights w/ harness/connectors and leveling switch? How much for all?

Well since I live in an apartment I have no place to work on the car. I am paying a local guy here to do the work. He is cutting me the most awesome deal on the install ever heard of. I bought this entire car for $6,800. Can you believe that? The wheels are in perfect condition, as well as most of the rest of the car. A fellow Indy Subaru guy found this and told us all about it. It was in a local junkyard here, so it worked out very well for me to get it.

Well I have a guy here that really wants the scoop, and I think there is only one fog cover. I don't know what happened to the other one. It may very well be in the car, I'll just have to look for it. The trunk spring assembly, healights w/ harness/connectors and leveling switch are yours if you want them. I also have the STi wing that is in great shape if you want that too. The trunk is in decent condition. No dents, just a few scratches, so it would probably need to be repainted. Tell me what you think is a fair price, and that stuff is yours. I don't need it. When do you leave Iraq?

I already have a line of people who want them. I am going to need them for now since I have 3 sets of 16" wheels that don't work with the brembos.

I want the driver's seat (since most likely the passenger's seat's airbag deployed), gauge cluster and steering wheel

Dibs on the IC if you're gonna use a front mount on the unicorn

Side airbags deployed on both sides. The passenger seat is now about 4" accross. It was totally crushed. The drivers seat is okay other than having several days of rain fall on the car, and a huge hole from the airbag deplying. I wish the wheel was okay, but the dumb @ss who crashed the car put a mean death grip on the steering wheel and bent it. The column, and airbag are fine, but the wheel is bent. I will need the cluster for the Unicorn. It will fit with some slight modification.

For the trunk, I just need the heavier spring. I have an STi trunk w/ wing, but I have the WRX spring assembly. The spring isn't strong enough for the trunk and wing, so it slams shut. Thanks for the heads up on your trunk and wing, though.

I'm not sure about the price yet on the headlights w/ harness, connectors, and leveling switch. I don't want to low ball, so I'll do some research on a fair price before making an offer.

Also, Ed (sub-sonic) wants to know if you'll sell your gauge cluster?

I don't finish deployment until January (there's even talk about an extension), but Ed will let me ship to his house if a deal goes through.

Thanks Keirnna,
Chris

Jon, I'm really sorry. I knew that I couldn't get you the engine, that is why I didn't say anything. I'm sorry. Is there anything else you need minus the powertrain?

Chris, I thought that you had a bugeye, if so what will you do with the headlights? I need the guage cluster for the swap, so I can see what the DCCD is set at, and use the other from the STi like the temp, and shift light. Just to let you know, one bracket on the left headlight is broken, I may even just put it on my STi when I trade it in. It is not very noticable, and doesn't hurt the functionality of the light. I'll see if I can find a picture.

well I would say the the entire wiring harness that is in the car and all the sensors...from the while car but that conflicts with what CHRIS wants since the headlight harness...etc. that he wants is intergrated with what I'd like.

the STI ABS pump if it's still in tact.

ECU

HVAC system.

that would be it which is a lot and I could probably source an engine (hopefully if money permits)

I might have to sell my trans...etc. soon since I can probably no longer afford to do what I'd like to do with my car.

Chris has a bugeye but since his accident converted the front to a 04 body style. he can use the headlights...etc.

I converted my car to an 04 body style.

No problem on the gauge cluster.

Thanks for the offer to switch out the light, but no need bro. I'm not to concerned with cosmetics. Especially since the bracket is hidden. I just need the broken part of the bracket and I'll have it heated together.

I'll be sending an offer via pm within a day.

Thanks again, Nate!
