If I had a shot in hell of selling the rex for anything decent I would probably do this in a heartbeat. Wow. Not bad. I think Black would be ok. Would swap out the wheels for silver tho.

Anyone want a rex with nice advans? =)

El Jeffe, gimme a good trade-in on the 02 wrx with awesome Advans!!!!!

I personaly would give you a good price on your trade but I'm not
the one doin the buyin when it comes to trades it is the MGR.
Ask Rexstang he was tryin to talk Chris into taking his car in
for a trade on the STI and all Chris would do is "low ball" him on the trade saying at best his WRX is worth 12k.
Personaly I find that insulting.
But its the nature of the bussiness and the salesman is the fall
guy.
The real power is the manager.

....Well if I was a woman I would make the manager my boyfriend
and get all the sales.....oop! I wasn't supose to say that.

Dave all I can say is come and see what they will give you for your trade You are not obligated to buy anything from anybody.
If the numbers fall near where you want em you may be able to take home an sti.

I'll be in at 14:00 on Sat. or give me a buzz 224-6902

Careful, Dave. The impulse buyer in you is re-emerging again. Don't forget that we all suspected the STi would MSRP for ~$32k, so the price is no surprise. The real price is whatever the dealer decides to mark it up to. We don't know if they can actually sell them for $40k, but some might try.

Before you take that drive down to the dealer that doesn't yet have an STi sitting on the showroom, remind yourself why you bought your rex, forfeiting your original shot at the STi when you first moved over here. If you and Mrs. DaveWRX really want the STi then by all means go for it. Priorities, man, priorities!

Considering the trade in value for a 2002 WRX in good condition with around 20K miles is around 17K that is a huge insult.

The retail value (sell it yourself) is around 23K, but Hawaii seems to be saturated with WRXs which makes it harder to get a decent price.

Ok, how do you know me so well!!! =)

I wont get enough on trade. I mean if I could get exactly what its worth then I would do it since no loss to get to the STi, but I wont get that. Oh well. If there was a blue with gold, I would be in trouble for sure, its the black that has me not so happy. So I think my bank account is safe this time. =)

Yep, ran the blue book and its at about $22k, then stripping the advans and trying to sell them separate. So much work. Oh well, will just pass this time and save money for mods.
