Moving to Hawaii

My wife and I are seriously considering moving to Hawaii. Specifically, Kailua side...I have a lot of relatives there and we love the ohana we always get when we visit...what are your best tips for surviving and succeeding in Hawaii? I also have a 2004 WRB WRX and would cruise all day if I could! Thanks!

1. kailua rocks
2. find your corner of the market and work it. no matter what trade you are
in, just be sure that you are honest about your career- and make use of
every resource possible. hawaii's job market is dominated by the service/
tourist industry- but if you are in other areas just remember that one
phrase dominates and dictates your success here- - -> aloha spirit.

thats my $.02 and i'm sticking to it.

Red face racing

Is there lots of organized racing...i.e. SCCA Auto-X? Is there a road course in Oahu somewhere? I also used to race shifter go-karts....you know...6-speed paddle shifter, 0-60 in 4 seconds, 3 g's of lateral acceleration...brembo drilled disc brakes...80 mph...I know they have a kart track in Maui...what about Oahu? I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!
