whats your thought?
I really want one.. a nice sportbike/superbike...
is it as dangerous as people say they are? (assuming I'm one to obey all rules, ride defensively, and watch out for myself.. and definitely NOT stunt)
opinions!

If you've never ridden you're not ready for a busa zx-14 or pretty much any liter bike. I've got into it last year with a 97 zx6r and if i were going to buy a new bike i'd be hesitant to get anything bigger than a 750. Plus given HI traffic a big bike would be a pain alot of the time.

I've been riding for about 10 yrs and if you have never ridden a street bike a 600cc bike that is a few yrs old would be perfect. My first three bikes were 600cc and they can get you into trouble just the same, my last bike was a TL1000R not a first bike for anybody it has so much torque I'd be doing wheelies without trying..

These days the 600cc types are more than enough. If you learn how to ride properly, wear all your gear (dont settle for the cheap stuff either) EVERYTIME and dont do stupid things like wheelies and **** like that you shoud be fine. Besides, its not the bike that usually causes the accident. Its the morons around you that dont pay attention to the road and traffic. Thats what got me... My gear saved my life. People were asking me why i bought a $500 helmet. I usually replied that i think my head and spine are worth the extra money. Same for the rest of my gear... I had a 1996 Yamaha YZF600R and it was a fun beast.

plus if you get a bike it may actually lower your insurance. I talked to USAA and for me to get a 99 Honda CBRF4I, I would actually save around 19 dollars a month because I would have two vehicles on my coverage.
