I didn't reset my ecu. But my check engine light came on when I was driving home from the tracks so when I got home I reset the ecu to get rid of the check engine light. I know that there is a fix for the o2 sensor but where do I get it and what is it?
So the 1.7 is a good 60'..... Cool! By the third run I could fell the right combo between slipping the clutch, feeding the throttle, and fully engaging the clutch. My other car is a turbo'd fwd so I know about slipping the clutch but I just stayed a little more aggresive with the sti since it had more grip. I found all my tips on this forum so thanks guys!

Dave,
Read this: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=302047
If I remember, there's a way to reset without having to wait weeks. I think it's like 40 miles, but that's based on the ECU seeing ZERO knock. After the reset, use as much octane as you can afford and drive it like you stole it.
Edit: You should be seeing low 13's/knocking on 12's tonight. From what they're saying the 06 WRX's are seeing 13.4 at over 100mph, so there's no reason you shouldn't be in the 12's, especially with that 60'.
Thunder, do like I told you and you should be in the 12's tonight.

I was hoping to be a little quicker but this is the first time I ever drove an awd down the quarter mile. I tried to slip the clutch off of the line with the revs at about 5k. The best time I could get was 13.617 @ 96.75 mph. I know my time was all me but I thought that the mph was suppose to be higher. I ran 3 times and besides my first run which was 94.89mph the other 2 were at 96.xx mph. Well here are my times in order:

1/8 ET
1/8 mph

.770
1.805

77.57mph
13.617
96.75mph
.784
1.798

96.79mph
Is that 1/4 mile mph normal or is it slower then normal? Right now I only have a tbe and like I said earlier I just installed it just before I went down to the track (don't know if that makes a difference). I don't know I just gotta get better and see if I can bring my times down.

I left at about 9:30. I went down with my friend Keola and we wanted to get our runs done early so we left early too.

Take H1 towards wainae... once you see the kapolei exit...DO not take that exit...take the very next 1 after that...Barbers point/ industrial park exit....once you take that exit, it loops around keep going str8, pass the traffic light and in about 1minute or 2...keep a look out on your left hand side and you will see it...if you reach a second traffic light...you went to far...just do a u turn and you should see it to the right immediately...hope that works...if not im pretty sure some can give better directions...thanks...

Didnt get much tuning done due to a bad xylene batch? My car started detecting knock from the first pass! I shouldve left the fuel mixture alone from last week which came out to be around 99 octane...from 114 octane + 92 octane pump gas. I guess I'll be back in 2 weeks or so....this time no more experimental fuel mixes, I'll just stick to good ol 92 octane w/ a little race gas mix.
