may 20 bball/potluck

rudy - thanks for taking the initiative to set the b-ball days up.
***** - we just wanted to play b-ball. don't take it personally if it was setup on the same day as the bbq. maybe some of us just didn't want to go to the evo meet?

ty you gots a pm same for others and like i said i feel like there is no respect here. esp when i asked you not to post it. and told u to just call or pms ppls about it and not to interefer with another event esp making it a BBQ. that just shows how much respect you got for one another.

Whoever wants to play just come out, or go to the meet/ bbq.

i-club.com is a public forum and the thoughts and opinions of others will be heard whether or not it is welcome by some or many. I understand where you are coming from, Shaggy, but you also have to look at things with an open mind.
Posting about having another Bball day is not wrong in any way, shape or form. It's the same as posting a meet or a cruise. It's a way to invite fellow HIIC members to participate in an activity.
The ultimate decision to attend particular events belongs to the individual members of HIIC, not the organizer of the event. If people show up to a BBQ, it was the decision of those present, same goes for a Bball event. It is merely an invitation, nothing more, nothing less. I doubt it was meant as a form of disrespect.
Can you honestly say you can tell people what and what not to post on here? The basic principle guidelines agreed upon by all of us whilst registering for the site, as long as it is not threatening or pronographic deems posting invitations acceptable. A BBQ or a basketball game is hardly threatening or pornographic (yet I know HIIC is capable of transforming the game into the latter).
I ask that you keep an open mind about all of this and take it lightly. People who committed to show up to the evo808 BBQ will show up ultimately, and people who want to play basketball will do so as well.
Drama of this magnitude was highly unnecessary. I posted my first reply to this thread in jest due to its immediate turn towards immaturity. We're all friends here and I hope that something as unnecessary and as petty as this will not ruin things.
Aloha.

Aloha.
you right again i can't tell ppls what to do but i can as someone to respect a proir event and host it on a different day so it doesn't interfer with that event. (like example the summer crusie you don't want 2 events on that same day right?)
posting about a bball day is great i'll be the first to say i need to play to get back in shape. and by holding a evo suby meet were trying to get all the guys to come together as one and then at the bbq you could invite them to come out "example on sunday so everyone can play."
how does it work if you wanna attend both event??? you can't thats y i asked to have the bbal on a different day. it works out better
well i always thought that there was an unspoken rule for when theres an event planned there won't be another event on the same day so that the event dosen't get messed with. i guess i was wrong there. and no one is forced to go to the bbq or bball.
you mean to the evo suby bbq or the club808 bbq not an evo808 bbq and by having them on 2 different days you would have more attendance at both events
friends huh?? when you ask a friend not to host an event on the same day that one has been planned for alot longer then another and they still post it b/c they don't care what you think. does that sound right??? like i said b4 i also wanted to play bball. to me it is disrespect full when you ask not to and you do. like i said b4 if you wanted to play you can pm or call others. and also could host one on the next day so for ppls who went to the bbq can go and get there exercise for the week.

Calm down ****. Those who signed up for the Evo/WRX bbq will go to the bbq, they won't switch just because Rudy posted up the bball/potluck event. And if you're pulling for the undecided... well, from experience... the undecided will continue to be undecided until last minute. So like Josh said, we all friends and let's not turn it into a big deal.
On that note, I am proposing a mid-day meet at femmes on 5/20~! j/p
