Maui Vacation 2008
I'm planning to take a trip to Maui this year. I already have a house in Maui I can sleep at and work on my car. That should help me save some money. I've been doing some research, a round trip ticket on the superferry is $293 , this is including a "Premium Lounge Upgrade", because it was only $18 more, I opp for it since it's a 3 hour trip.
On september 19 and 20 (Friday and Saturday) there is Maui's Fastest Street Car Shootout. If I do go in september, I'm planning to watch the event on both days, and hopefully get some passes in during the "test and tune" on both dates as well. Test and Tune is $25, unlimited passes as time will allow. Should be fun. I also debating weather to go on a off month like July 19 or August 16 instead. Mike from MRP said on those days, it's starts from 5pm - 11:30 ish and only 30 cars come out. So some people get 16 runs in best bang for the buck I guess..
Also while I'm there, A trip to the summit of Haleakala to watch the sunrise. And I might drive on the road to hana, but I heard the roads there are not the greatest for lowered car, so I might take my uncle's suv to run through it and take pic's. Should be fun, I need to start saving up for it now
