Maui SCCA race photos.
Here's a link to some photos at this weekends races.
It was another wide and very fast course that was over a 1 minute in length. We were given 5 runs to lay down the lowest ET.
This is a high speed 3rd gear corner. You do the math on how fast we're going.

Definitely twice as fast as the Oahu course. I had to grab 3rd gear twice after reaching the rev limit in 2nd. The course was also over 50 seconds for the quick cars and over a minute long for the slower cars.
These kinds of courses test your ability to quickly heel-toe downshift when coming out of the long straights into the tight corners. The length of the course also tested your concentration. Fun stuff.
Here's a pic of my buddy Pete in his 06.

Pete,
You were definitely pushing it in your later runs. Didn't you shave over 9 seconds from your first run to your last???
Anyway, this is how an STi was meant to be driven. There's a reason why it has AWD, Brembo brakes, DCCD and a quick spooling turbo. Can you say Solo 2 racing???
I'm glad you had fun. Now if some of the other guys would start racing...now that would be interesting.
I hope you had fun riding with me.

Figure since I'm a noob, run one slow to learn the course and go all ***** after that. Need more Maui STi's to come and race.
When will they be posting the results?
