Exclamation Major Problem W/ Cobb Ap

OK, i just put on a VF34, Sti pinks, perrin turbo inlet, and a 255 lph fuel pump on my WRX over the weekend. i have a cobb AP to tune my car with the basic map for the VF34. well i didnt have the VF34 map in my AP so i go to the cobb website and download it to my AP manager to upload it to my AP. then i try to import the map to my AP manager library but it tells me i need to update the AP manager and the firmware on the AP. so i do, no problem. then i try to uplaod it to my car and the AP just says *ERROR: CANNOT CONNECT WITH VEHICLE*. well the problem is the updated firmware and updated maps IS NOT compatible with a COBB v0.01 DONGLE!!!

WOW, what kinda crap is this?

anyway so i have the VF34 upgrade with supporting mods on and i still have a STG 2 map in my ecu and no way to tune!! do you guys think that i'll be ok to drive to work tomorrow without blowing anything up?

will i be running extremely rich?

please someone in Oahu help me out!

DUDE I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM!! I just got a vf39 and 06 wrx injectors in and wanted a map to support it. Apparently cobb was withholding some features on the v.01 dongle. I used someones dongle just to upload a new map onto my car. Im pretty sure that it wont have any compatibility issues when you get your new dongle from cobb.

Cobb is aware of the problem. You'll have better luck on their forums (www.cobbforums.com)

whenever anyone has any problems with an AP they should contact Cobb via phone, email, or forums, rather than post it on i-club, since Cobb isn't on i-club

*UPDATE*

ok i called COBB and they told me what to do but it might take a week to make things right. SO..... if anyone could let me use their dongle for a couple of minutes it would be much appreciated.

Did they have to call the thing a "dongle"?

Hope someone hooks you up.
