IMO-
Mike's correct, Ryan will make time for you whether you know him or not (he's also a very humble guy). Other automotive centers will see you as $$ and does the very least to resolve an issue, while trying to see how they can charge you more.
Ryan truly loves his craft (and is a true Subaru master mechanic, although he won't admit it) and the I-Club community. If you're still unsure about a "good" mechanic, meet Ryan. You won't be disappointed.
Aloha

Ok...so you guys can understand what the story is with Vakamon. Farid sold the shop to Ryan and a few other guys...they own Vakamon. They built the reputation that Farid started to help out the Suaru community.
Ryan does not work at Vakamon anymore and Junior doesnt either. However, he does still own a mjority of the business and still goes there. Davin and a few other guys are there as well and they still do good work.
They've always been extra helpful and have a lot more knowledge than most of us "shade tree" mechanics do put together. We have to support the business and make sure they stay in business...otherwise we may not have a good aftermarket Subaru specific place to go.
I've referred many friends and family of friends to the guys at Vakamon and have had nothing but great experences.

Hey guys, sorry to bring back a week old post, but I haven't been on here for a while. Thank you all for so much positive feed back, I really appreciate it. Also, like Ditchhanger said, I have a lot of money invested in the shop, and still work there most evenings and saturdays. I also work at Pacific Auto for Ken, who is a great guy.
