Looking for a good Mechanic

Anyone know of a good mechanic that knows how to work on Subarus.
Shop labor prices are mighty steep around here.

Stuff broke so I need to fix my car.

If you have to take it to a shop, go see Ryan and Davin at Vakamon. They specialize in Subies and have a great reputation in the Subaru community here.

speedometer broke the other day and at the same time random stalling after coming to a stop. Funny thing is if I dont stop it keeps running. Engine runs smooth otherwise. But when you stop and clutch in RPM drop is normal but instead of stopping at 650 750RPMish it keeps going down to 0.

maybe your idle just needs to be adjusted, or could be a more serious electrical issue if the speedometer died at the same time.... either way take it to joey's house and im sure he will fix it free of charge!

The only place I might feel remotely safe letting someone work on my car would be the Servco subaru service place, I guess they have access to the tools and manuals to get the job done right but I afraid of what it might cost... I was just looking for some alternatives.

With my car being broken a swap is looking real nice right about now...

Ryan now works at Pacific Automotive and Performance on Ilanwai St., Ken's place, I saw him there the other day and I was kinda freaked out by it.
