You are being a good teacher man...I was like you...got along great with the kids..they would stop by my house during the summer, go fishing, golfing...even come in during inter-sessions to help me out in my Technology lab...they knew my classroom was always safe and also if they were with me...they need that...someone or somewhere they can go to feel safe...

Keep it up man, you are doing a great job!

If I could afford to, I would still be a teacher...the salary is fine in Alaska's economy...but with median house prices at +$650,000...here in Hawaii...it's real hard...

well i'm at an all girls school (can you imagine all the raging hormones!) and yes they are very emotional! i'm not their counselor but they all come to me when they have problems and i help them as much as i can and they understand that i need to report anything i think will hurt them to the administration and they still trust me. i love my job even though the money is not there

but thanks to everyone for your suggestions and concern!

oh, i dunno, i didn't see the car, but all the students and the principal's secretary did, the principal's sec told him to park and wait but he took off. And the girls here don't know the difference between a honda and toyota! i was told it was a black sti and the girls were talking about how he got the car. and when he called her to ask her if she's going to fight i tried to ask where the SHA girls were and he hung up on me.

i honestly don't want anyone to do something to his car or him, he just needs to be told not to come on campus to try and get one of our students hurt. she honestly thought he was a friend and wouldn't be involved but why does he have to lie about his name to the principal's secretary if he was here as her friend. she then found out later he was here because his gf is supposed to be one of the girls that were going to fight with her.

just tell him that what he did yesterday was very uncool and they better not show up at the dance tonight to cause trouble! we didn't want or want more trouble.
