My power steering high pressure hose is leaking badly.
Every time I drive white smoke billows out of the engine bay while at a light due to the p/s fluid dripping on to the up pipe and burning off.

The hose that I'm looking for comes out of the top of the p/s pump, around and under the coolant filler tank, and then down past the turbo to the rack and pinion gear.

So far I have tried Napa, O'reilly, and Pacific Jobbers.
All three places didn't even have a listing in their systems.
That tells me they can't get it.
I then called Servco Subaru and they can get the part but even with my iClub discount they still want $330 for one stinkin hose.
I'll get it from them if I have to but I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that might have it before I drop the cash.

Any help of advice would be very appreciated.

there is a ton on ebay, new or used, that range from 60$-250$+ cheaper then the @$$ raping of 330. if you got time to wait..... if not, bend over and get it tomorrow ALSO TRY CRAIGSLIST>>> THERE IS A GUY PARTING OUT AN 04!!!!!!!!

Hydra-air pacific can make you a custom hose for probably $60....

That's what I did.

I got a hole in my PS line, it soaked my wrapped headers/up-pipe and a small (very scary) fire followed. Luckily I was able to put it out.

 

only downfall would be having to down the car for a little bit so they can make the hose if they're swapped with work.. a little inconvenient but still cheaper
