Car Info: gc w/ neons and a wrx that needs neons
wow i need to write all these tips down and maybe try some zymol.
i also 2nd the use of the california car duster.
I live in the cuts and dust will cover the car really bad within an hour of sitting, so imagine a whole night of it. So if you got problems with dust on your car, its a good buy.
Also enjoy rain X, my windshield wipers sucked, and my car was pretty new when they were junk. Rain X makes everything so visible, all the problems i had with the wipers are gone.
Meguiars has this vynal spray for the car. I used to use armor all but this is sooo much better. I love the smell too. The only thing is that it makes my hands really oily, but its the best thing i used for my interior.

Meguiars high gloss gel, clear bottle, purple goo inside.(Description by the Incredible Hulk LOL) They got it at K-mart and Checkers near stadium for sure. I keep running into the stuff. Heck, I have an almost full bottle in my garage you can have too. I swear by the Eagle One clear spray stuff for tires myself so I have no real use for the Meguiars gel. Lemme know if you want it.

You folks need to try Meguiar's new product line that just came out...
*NXT Generation Tech Wax
*NXT Generation Tech Protectant
*Hot Shine Tire Spray ( this one's been out for awhile)
Then there's the Eagle 20/20 Auto Glass Cleaner
Eagle Wheel & Tire Cleaner... for the more lazy folk like myself
These work wonders, only seen the NXT's at Daiei and Checkers Kailua so far though...

There's a lot of debate about this already on detailing forums, but let me give a different perspective. NXT, for the price, is a good sealant. It looks good, is easy to apply and is cheap. Many NXT users have found that although it looks good and is easy to use, its' durability is terrible.
I've found that NXT won't last more than about a week and half, before, the shine and slickness are gone and there is no beading what so ever. That being said, there are some NXT users who have gotten durability results that are much better than mine.
For the sake of comparison, my process for a full paint exterior detail is:
-wash with dawn liquid
-wash with car shampoo (currently NXT car wash)
-clay with mothers clay bar
-porter cable polish using dacp #83. smr, ssr1 or blackfire paint polish depedning on paint condition, wipe with pakshak Micro fibers
-paint sealant or wax, (blackfire, meguiars #26, NXT)

big blue microfiber towels are awesome also. i think big blue is the brand name. one towel should completely dry your car spot free. kinda expensive but effective. also when you wash your towels dont use detergent. put a cup of distilled vinegar in with the towels and you will never have a problem with stupid fuzzies. i kinda like meguiars but you guys are making me change my mind. how do you apply clay? ive never looked into that
