Legacy 2.5GT
Hi! gonna be a Suby owner soon, and have a question. I first wanted an Impreza, but heard of the new Legacy 2.5GT. When I told my friends that I wanted that instead of the Impreza, they laughed at me. I'm hitting a point where sleeper is the way to go: looks like a daddy car, but monster inside. The new legacy seems to live up to my needs in that department. Has anyone test drove the 2.5GT yet?
Question is, when are we getting the new Legacy in? I went to waialae subaru, and they told me it should be coming in very soon. Can anyone recommend me to a dealer/sales rep that can help me out? Thanks

Either way, I know my friends won't be laughing once they sit in the car...

this may not be the most accurate description-
but imo the the legacy gt is a reverse image of the sti. while the sti is performance 1st comfort second... the gt is comfort 1st performance a very close second. ditch pretty much hit it right. one note for those seeking 5 speed, keep in mind that the AWD system is better(imo) in the auto. (the 5speed has a 50/50 split while the auto has 45/55)
the intake on the new gt is slightly different from last years...(eliminating the majority of the boxer "rumble") another key change is the rear diff has been improved(liquid filled diff mounts, reduced gear noise) the main focus of the gt's refinements was to make it quieter, lighter and more powerful than last years model.
i may be showing my age, but i am slowly leaning towards a gt or gt wagon. plus they are a mere drop in the bucket in hawaiis market. and i like that idea. driving the gt around town means- when you drive by someone... they will be like... "wow, what was that?"
