Well, Ive seen at least 2 that I can remember, mine and Nate's both ran 13.3s @ 99-100 mph, someone else ran 13.4s also... Like I said, not all STis are created equal, there are some variations from the factory... some run a little faster than others. Driver's skill has a little something to do with 1/4 mile as well, you need to learn how to launch and shift gears on your car properly - it takes some practice to get better at it!

dumping the clutch at 7g and grinding the gears? either way I havent seen anyone break 13.5 in a stock sti in either HI or TX...

I believe those times are possible. It is difficult for a person to extract the full potential of the STi. One night you think you got the lowest possible time, then you go and beat it another night. They're rated at doing 13.2@104mph from the factory. This means that somebody did it, which means that mid 13s are definately possible.

Anyone else out here have a GM6 with a WRX or EJ257 swap? Mine is enroute and hopefully I can run it at the track when I get back from deployment. The track is open all summer right cause I dont get back until August.

i didn't dump it at 7k, but i slipped at 6k and got a 13.435 @99 with a 1.787 60 ft. this is totally stock and my 2nd time at tracks (noob). i think what it all comes down to is driving skill. those guys hitting 13.2's in a stocker probably have pros driving em on a better track. jt-sti probably got the closest with a 13.3. I think it's the driving, not the variations from the factory between cars. don't quote me on that though cuz i don't know Subaru's quality control.

Nice job STi-LLlegal!, I guess you were the other guy I was referring to that could do it! As for the 13.2 @ 104 time, That was done in cold weather, on a properly prepped dragstrip with low humidity in the mainland! Keep in mind that HRP goes against the wind and high humidity (and is slightly uphill perhaps)...it usually produces .2 seconds slower and 3% slower trap speeds. My speedo reads 114mph when I hit the 2nd line on the top end of the track, but my timeslip shows 106mph! ... it shouldve read 110 mph! A Lancer EVO should also run 13s, but most run low 14s....the best Ive seen bone stock ran 13.6 @ 98mph, magazines say it should run 13.4 @ 101mph...

Hey there Private, If i were you man i would be looking into getting some new rings. I'm not kidding. I say this because i speak from experience, i raced my car at 750 too 2 1/2 years ago and now my rings have had it. Poor compression and no power is were you will be in about 30,000 miles. and all i did is one night of racing, (many 14.7 passes bone stock ) I say its cheap insurence for the future. Do it now or pay later. Good luck

like mario said you won't know it till later. there are a few things you should know b4 going out to the drags my friend. 1. finnish your break in! 2. finnish your break in! 3. did you reset your ecu? reason i ask is that your times could have suffered due to your ecu still running in grandma break in mode. 4. finnish your break in!! 5. proper tire pressure also helps when trying to get a good time. and finnally 6. FINNISH YOUR FRICKEN BREAK IN!!!! at the bare minimum wait till 1k and do a synthetic oil change b4 even thinking about going to the track. don't mean to rag on you but it really is important to know what your doing b4 you go out and do it. hope next time your fully prepared and broken in...might just help your times a bit and save your car.
