KRP Sand Drags - Sunday, Oct 24th, 2010 from 8AM to 5PM!

KRP Sand Drags Test N' Tune

Kalaeloa Raceway Park proudly presents the SAND DRAGS Test N' Tune on Sunday, October 24th, 2010! Gates open at 8AM, with racing to commence at 11AM and running till 4PM. $25 Entrant Fee + $10 Spectator. Children ages 5 & under are free!

About KRP:

Kalaeloa Raceway Park is the new home of motorosports for Oahu and it's neighbor islands. Since the closure of Hawaii Raceway Park, motorsports enthusiasts have had no where to go to excercise their need for speed. KRP hopes to change that and is on track to fill the void in the hearts of local speed freaks.

A grassroots volunteer project, KRP is slated to open it's doors for the first official events in September 2010. Located just off of Coral Sea Road in the former Barbers Point Naval Air Station, KRP is nestled comfortably close to Kalaeloa Airport, which provides a sensible location to conduct motorsports.

Directions to KRP:

From H1 West Bound, take the Kapolei Exit onto Fort Barrette Road to Roosevelt Avenue. Take a right onto Coral Sea ending at Casablanca Street. Kalaeloa Raceway Park is situated just before the intersection of Coral Sea & Tripoli Road.

Please drive safely and within the speed limit so that we may represent a positive experience for our surrounding community!

No alcohol permitted. Concessions will be available as well as restroom facilities. Bring your tents & chairs and have a great time with us! Please note, We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who causes disruption at our facility!

Please visit Kalaeloa Raceway Park for rules & more information!

I'm seriously wondering if a properly prepped STi would be able to hand some of these vehicles their azz....I mean, it's mostly monster trucks and such. What would AWD do?

It's wetted down a bit...any of you want to try it, gimme a yell..just to see if a WRX can handle it. You will definitely need some specialty tires though. Do they make tires that are DOT rated for off-highway?

Classes are on the Kalaeloa Raceway Park site...under Motorsports - Sand Drags - Rules

You could alwasy go open unlimited. It's just Test N' Tune for right now anyways...

Mike, you can count me in, just not this Sunday though. Just make sure the track stays open. Can't wait to the next race!
