kohala mt. road pics
here's some pics i took last weekend . a few of my buddies and myself took a trip out to kohala . it's by far the best road to drive on here on the big island .it can be nasty though , if your not careful it'll jump up and take a bite out of you and spit you out into little chunks .

it was the 1st thyme that we could all make it up there . usually we cruise over 2 hilo side , and do some auto-x , this month there wasn't anything available . and kohala mt. road is one the few places on the big island that you can drive fast on without gettin into trobule , the hilo side of saddle road is also very nice . its just 2 far away ! and the view up there is nice , that day was kinda bad to the vog .

mr. wizard saddle road is pretty mellow during the summer . there might be odd tourist driving slow as hell on that road . kona side of saddle road is kinda a jacked up . full of pot holes and crumbly asphalt . hilo side up till the turn off to mauna kea is nicely paved . kohala mt. road is excellent . no pot holes or anything like that . there's just a bunch of sections of road that have 100 ft. drop offs & no guard rails .
g-dogg yup we went up and down kawahae road also , that side of the island has some of the best roads to drive on . traffic on the big island is getting to be bad , though not as bad as on oahu . but for the road systems we got here its diffently not fun .
