I know a few people that have had wheels fixed by places like that and they looked great and the cost wasnt that bad either. So like Dan said there is hope.

i'm not sure what i'm going to do... only the edge seems to be eaten. u kno how slow i am to get things done... besides, now that i'm back on the re92s, maybe i'll drive more responsible now .. yeah, right... that's jus rationalizing.
i did call bob @ eurosport since they were the ones that picked them up... but being 600-700 per new rim and about a 2 month waiting period, i doubt that will be an option. good to know where the max cost is at.
also, i did find a screw in the tire... when this is fixed... is the tire still good to auto-x on?

Yeah, a plug in your tire = good as new. I worked at Marathon plugging flat tires, and as long as it's done right, you've got nothing to worry about.
I put a nice sized hole in my BFG's just a few weeks back, plugged it myself, and ran on it last AutoX.
