Keyless entry help please

So a few days ago my keyless entry stopped working.
I went on google and searched but couldnt find a solution to my problem. when i press the button on the remote the light on the car flashes and chirps as usual but does not lock/unlock the doors. the powerlock switch inside the car fucntions normally, i also checked the fuses and they are all good. anyone experienced this before or know how to fix it? thanks in advance -brandon

edit: when i turn the engine off the doors automatically lock

sounds like an alarm issue. because my viper automatically locks when i start my car and unlocks when i turn it off. is your alarm an aftermarket? it could be the ground wire or one of the many grounds.

I'm assuming he's using the stock keyless entry? please confirm andy?

Not to jump on the OP,..
But my key fob is always changing on how it "alerts" you when you lock/unlock the doors.

Sometimes it just the lights flashing, other times I get both lights and audible horn warning. I prefer the second...I know about the instructions on the fob, but dont want to change to my preference every single time..weird...
