Kauai is full of 06 Imprezas!
Hello Hawaii folks, I just got back from my friends' wedding in Kauai and I was suprised to see so many 06 Imprezas driving around. That totally caught me off guard.. no bugeyes or 04-05s in sight, just a ton of 06s (with the new noses).
Anyone from Kauai on the boards? Those mountain roads must be great fun to drive on.

For some reason, car rental companies on Kaua'i really like to rent out Imprezas, and of course car rental companies update their lineups regularly.
I was last in Kaua'i in about 2002 or so, and there were bugeye RS's all over the place.

only way we may be affected is by the kelley blue book- which factors values by specific region- (unfortunately hawaii does not have it's own region..even though we enter a zip code online)

Seemed like thousands of 06 Imprezzas and Foresters were there.
Only saw three WRXs all silver. 2 wagons(maybe the same one twice) and a sedan with Morettes.
Only one STi black and wingless following a EVO with a really custom paint job.
There were a couple of fmic hondas and old F bodies and vettes but it was pretty devoid of interesting cars.
The only car enthusiast stuff I saw was a quarter mile track out by Kekaha and a lot of evidence of drifting and sideshows on the western canyon roads.
We were really interested in moving to the place though. I have a career I can do just about anywhere.
Does Hawaii do smog checks with their annual inspections?

i used to live on kauai. i bet most impreza's are probably rentals. i rented a forester the last time i visited. subaru's are great cars over there due to all the rain and mud on the roads.
waimea canyon road is awesome. i used to work up at kokea and loved it in my accord 4dr ex back in the day. wish i could take one of my cars up there now. btw, surf is great over there too!
