I just installed the last piece of the clunk killer kit from TiC (Rear Differential Bushings).

The kit consists of the following:

Kartboy Rear Subframe Outrigger Bushings
TiC Subaru Rear Diff Mount Bushings

The Outrigger bushings were very easy but the Rear Diff bushings were a bit of a concern since I've had to remove the rear diff for many reasons before (that will not be explained).

TiC has put together an install guide that is easy to follow and the install went fairly well!

According to them the install time should be approximately 1.5 hours from start to finish if you've never done it before. Since I have experience with removing the Rear End I believe I finished it in about 45 minutes.

The only thing that I would change between the install that they posted and how I did it was the way that I removed the Bushings from the Differential Bracket that holds them.

In their install they use 2 screw drivers and a hammer. I started to use that method and ended up doing something different.

- Their method I took longer than 5 minutes and I still hadn't taken them out yet



Instead of putting the two screw drivers where they had it I just put 1 screw driver on the furtherest side of the bracket (closest part in the picture) and make sure that the end of the flat head screw driver is protruding outside the other end agains the bracket. then I got a small sledge hammer (all I had) and gave it two nice wacks and the pushing came out as the screw driver head went further down. It is best to use a medium size flat head screw driver.

If you follow their install it will be very easy!

After the install I went for a drive and man can you feel the difference!

It's very hard to describe the difference but the difference is very apparent.

In addition to this "product" from TiC I've got other things installed such as the transmission x member bushings, shifter bushing, rear shifter bushing, TiC 6MT linkage bushings, 6MT pivot bushings,.

If you purchased from TiC before you will already know that these guys are awesome and provide the best customer service!!!

good review jon. i've been thinking about getting the diff bushings, but i think i'm going to wait until we get confirmation if we can still autox at aloha stadium.

You know I'm a TiC groupie...Clint and Tony are awesome guys.

Clint has an STi, Tony has a WRX with really wide tires and Clint's wife even has a Legacy Wagon!

ok 6gunracing ball joint extender is in!

very nice piece and is well made. install if you have experience working on the front suspension mainly ball jointed areas and tie rod ends then this will be a 3 for difficulty out of 5. If you're a n00b then this will be a 5 out of 5.

turning is better. the steering feels better. everything that was stated on their site seems to be true with this piece. the only down about this product is the price but the R&D on this product was done if you look at their website. www.6gunracing.com

BTW do not attempt the sixguns unless you have new balljoints to replace the old ones!

nah. under normal circumstances you can attempt it as long as you remove the ball joint correctly. my brother accidently ripped the boot and I was SOL.

FYI: 2001 Impreza ball joints will fit on a Bugeye WRX but not a Bugeye N/A Impreza.

03/2001 - 12/2005 impreza.

Brent: that isn't my innovation it is another innovation by 6gunracing. that is not my car and they will be having that prototype brake duct out soon! i'm looking forward to aquiring it myself

also, this should take you about 1 hour each side as long as you don't have to much trouble with your ball joints and tie rod ends. I didn't get a chance to replace my tie rod ends since I couldn't source them in time. They are still good but I need to replace them. Unfortunately they won't make my alignment apointment so next time.
