Red face just came back from recon

okay i just came back from recon and as expected i've failed....i just wanted to go and get my fail papers just to see what i need...so the next time i go i can pass it with no surprises...anyways here it is....need alignment, all blue lights from my alarm gots to go, must have 1 inch up and down rebound, front plate got to be 12 inches off the ground, and must have amber side lens...the wierd thing is that he didn't say anything about my fogs lights or my tires that are balder than me ....but they did ask what that big thing on top of engine is. ..everything can be fixed so hopefully i can get recon by this monday...

hugh

"Reconstruction" permit... As lousy as it is,I figure it's still preferable to smog checks and emissions testing.

to put it vaguely...recon is like a very detailed safty inspection....certain modifications will pass recon, some won't. There are a check list of things to pass in order to get recon....i've failed about 6 of these things...if you don't pass you won't get the recon sticker....you're not forced to get recon by any means but the cops here love to meet their daily quota by tagging souped up cars for recon....and the amounts do add up....a cop may give you a $55 ticket for "recon" alone or they may tag you for $$ lights, $$ drop, $$ unsafe vehicle, $$ etc like mr. michael hunt....but after getting recon they don't bother you that much....
