Just bought my 2nd STI last month, my first on Oahu. Need shop recommendations
Aloha all! This is my 2nd STI, my last one was an 05. I've lived in Honolulu for about 3yrs now and just bought my 06 hawkeye last month. It needs its 105k service and Servco quoted in the neighborhood of $3k, so screw that and I'm wondering which local Subie shops you would recommend for great service and reasonable prices.
While I'm in there for the 105k service, I'd also like them to look at the drivetrain. I noticed some stutter in the wheels when doing tight turns at low speed after it's been warmed up so I'm thinking it needs to be looked at pretty soon. If any of you might have an idea what it could be, I would appreciate it! Never dealt with this issue before, I got rid of my previous STI around 40k miles and this kind of thing hadn't surfaced by then.
I live in a condo with a parking garage so working on the car myself is out of the question (I know, I know... strongly eyeing a house in the near future so I can have a garage).
