Introducing.....Road Rally!
Alright all, I've been asked to pass along this info to you. I know some of you already are interested so here you go.
Welcome Road Rally enthusiasts-
The event is on for Feb 12 Sunday – Short and Sweet Valentine’s Rally
The pre registration site is up and ready-

Cost is $20 per car. Two persons required per car
Only the Driver is required to be SCCA member- can be $15 weekend membership which is paid on the day of the event by Check or Money order.
If enough people sign up from a club we can make that one class by itself.
Minimum 20 cars to run the event and maximum 50 cars- first come first served.
To reserve a spot you need to do the online registration, walk up registration will be until the limit is reached
Meeting will be from 8am at Stadium Mall Parking lot near Pizza Hut under the H1 freeway near the Ice Palace across from Aloha Stadium parking lot.
The course will be on public streets and highways and will feature various segments (not yet finalized):
Time, Distance, speed- Drive at speed limit over set distance to arrive at a certain time. Points for arriving on time and penalty for not doing so within a range. You answer questions along the course so don't fall asleep or you will miss out. Questions count for more points.
Theme- Cupid's rally, part of the course will be driving to arrive at a certain time at a checkpoint and answer questions related to Valentine's Day. Penalty for being late.
Gimmick- part of the course will be driving to arrive at a certain time at a checkpoint and obtain items or photos that are asked for on a scavenger hunt list. Penalty for being late.
Roughly 8am Tech inspection and registration opens.
9am drivers meeting and instruction
930am drivers head out
Finish in Hawaii Kai parking area near the beach.
Lunch at Koko Marina Shopping center Kona Brewery- each team pays for their own lunch.
Things to bring for each Road Rally team:
Watch to keep time
Pen or pencil to write with- or more than one
Scratch paper
Clip board to write on
Telephone- to call for help if lost
Map of Oahu- Honolulu and Island
Money for lunch at Kona Brewery at Koko Marina in Hawaii Kai at the end.
Comfortable clothes, hat if needed and sunblock
Drinks for yourself if needed
Optional-
GPS
Only checks or money orders payable to SCCA Hawaii-Rally will be accepted at the event.

*Please Note* If you're interested in speeding, driving recklessly, or overall being an asshat, this event is not for you. Please stay home and play Gran Turismo or something. As brad stated this is a road event, designed for the public road, where public LAW WILL BE ENFORCED.

dont worry, its going down! this sunday!!!! i'll be teching cars, just make sure the rims are on good, battery is secure and positive terminal covered, and you aren't leaking fluids. should be fun!
