Interior Lightning Setup

All,

Does anyone have the interior all decked out in lights at all? I had some halogen lights hooked up in my civic before I traded it to get the STi. I had lighted pedals and 3 neon strips w/ switches. Has anyone attempted this?

If so, could I see some pics and all. I maybe able to get a few lights for Install Day. Let me know.

Others are gonna flame you on this so I'm gonna let them do the work . What you do to your car is completely your choice. Can you explain to me what the purpose of having lights on your car is for? IMO, there is no purpose for having neon and other lights in your interior besides an added 5+ hp for each neon you have. You should also look into a whistle tip also, they're the best bang for the buck, +10-20 hp. I have a Type R badge laying around if you want it too, 15 dollars.

Ron's Performance carries

DEI products. They're excellent for heat resistance applications, like this one. If you're going to put lights inside an STI (oh the humanity!) you'd better ask the other boards. Many coolness points have been lost already.

HAHA...understandable. The $$$ goes to the way the car runs...not looks. To be honest, I installed the lights but hardly ever used them. I wasn't planning on installing lights at all I was just wondering if anyone had them. I'm becoming more intuned on the performance of my car rather than looks of it. Thanks for your honest comments. Greatly appreciated.

the only interior lights that an STi should have should be mounted on the passenger side so that your passenger or co-driver can read directions or, more importantly, pace notes at night.

I"m with you Doc. I think interior lights are mandatory, and functional.

I've got this light that I can turn on or off, OR have it only come on when I open the door.

I find that it's really a Must-Have Mod for my car to leave it set to turn on when the door is open. That way, at night it helps me find the ignition keyhole.

Wanna know another thing. That light is so 'bling' that after I shut the door, the light doesn't turn off automatically. It's got some sort of fader. It's sooooo cool.

Ouch

Ouch...that hurts.

Well damn all. Where is everyone else? I need some more raggin'. Come on....LOL.

I see that you all really welcome newbies to the group. It's all good though. Now I'm learning on what the so-called big boys think, lights are GAY!!! I got the point but that's ok...smarta$$es are good and makes the conversation real. Thanks for all the nice and bashing comments and I'm sure there will be more to come....So Stay Tuned for more interesting comments from the peanut gallery.

I got something for ya

How about some 13" wire wheels with some whitewalls... Come on dude your lucky some of the other guy haven't seen this yet. I remember back in high school like 10 years that crap was cool but hey it's your car you pay the note on it feel free to do what ever you so desire...Just not the car to be doing that kind of thing too you'll be hard pressed to find somebody on here with that but who knows somebody might be hiding...But this has all been my $.02

If Sean or Dan see this be ready...They like this kind of stuff

I had to chuckle when I saw this thread. It brought back memories of all my frickin thousand (ok 3 thousand) posts about things. I knew this would be a thread to keep an eye on.

But once again whos paying for the car, no us, so the owner can do whatever the helll they want to, but we can judge of course. Thats the fun part...

I want velvet window shades and a **** carpet steering wheel cover personally.

Im still waiting to see a riced up STi somewhere on the internet...

Good! Dude, the only aftermarket lighting you need in your car is the light, from a boost gauge!
