Greg, you pay more in two months for insurance than I pay the whole year for my STi's insurance. I would have sold my car long ago if that is what the prices are like. Have you shopped around? Do you have any family in the military or anything like that? Call this number: 1-800-531-8080 or go to USAA.com and try to sign up. Say you are a Sgt in the USMC or something I don't know but your insurance rates will go way down.

thanks for the help nate(no family in mil.)- between me and the wife... we have 4 speeding tickets... 3 of which will be cleared by october (3 tickets in 2002) and one from last year (on pensacola st. 25mph zone)

we have some ideas in the works right now... we might just pay off one of the car loans to make things a lil more easier to swallow. and tues. we are shopping 4 other insurance companies

my loyalty to AWD cars is impeccable.. almost insane... so we will try to keep these cars...as long as it's managable.

spoke with progressive rep today-

3 tickets are being dropped by december- my renewal date! just thought i'd share.. and offer some hope to those with high insurance premiums... stick with it!

only one negative coming up though. the wife crashed the WRX 3 weeks ago
7k damage- but thats ok because 3 moving violations are coming off!

i wish it was totalled. Like Like HNL bound- she hit the guradrail just before entering the tunnel. it was wet. she was going to fast period.
front end damage= $4500 engine= unknown...still at dealership for estimates. all i know right now is that the timing belt snapped. once they are done the body shop is ready to finish the job. all the parts are in.

sorry to hear of the 240

If the timing belt snapped it should have been totalled.

Man funny this thread came back to life today. I just got an email from geico, that my insurance for the next six months jumped from $730 and some change to $1450, almost double, what the hell? I have a perfect driving record. Aloha Geico. Statefarm here I come, they gave me a rate of 1200 for the whole year. Whatever.

market adjustment for your area? that may be possible since subies are more common in your neck of the woods.. i would imagine more claims for your area than when you were here.

i have an umbrella policy covering homeowners insurance, and the two cars, but if you just take the insurance, it is something like 200/month. is it me or when you go on a payment plan or whatnot the insurance companies make it impossible for you to figure out your rates on your own. the numbers if multiplied or divided out never make sense. i always have to call to figure it out when i make changes to my accxount.

Prices of insurance is crazy. Almost like our gas prices.
