Insurance Fraud

Well I have been accused by GIECO for insurance fraud.
When my car got hit the gieco operator filed 2 claims one under my insurance and
one under the claiment.
I did not know this.
Then the accedent investigator called me in for investigation.
Then called me a liar and will pursue prosucution.
I didn't realise that there was 2 claims on the accident.
So I settled and now the accident is not covered at all.
Please be carfull when filing claims.
Have a police report no matter how small it is.
I witnessed my subaru getting hit by this van in a parking lot.
He had Gieco insurance also but I have to pay for all damages incured.
I was noit even in my car.
Beware of gieco.

It makes me wonder how they came up to that conclusion. Did they actually tell you that you filed 2 claims? This makes no sense at all. They could have told you that there was a claim filed for the same accident and they would have to do a thorough investigation and come up with how the scenario unfolded. I know this is HI but I'm confused and curious at the same time. Why didn't you stand your ground and not sign the settlement if you know you were right?

I was not told nor aware that there was 2 claims being filed for the same accident.

The claim for the claiments insurance(gieco) and one for mine(gieco).

Because the guy that hit my car produced an expired card.
Which I told the gieco operator.
Which was later valid becuse he was on welfare.

I just renewed my expired policy and she said it was suspect.

I was being grilled on the "accident" claim under my policy number but was unaware at the time.
She said there was never inspection by an adjuster which I thought there was

I made an appointment to have an adjuster
inspect the damages.
Thinking it was all covered under the guys policy.
Not knowing my claim under my policy was still foating around their system causing all the ****.

She said there was never an adjuster inspection on "my" claim there was none because I tought everything was fine the adjuster wrote a check for the work being done at SIG's under the claiment's coverage.

It was a case of mistaken idenity of the claims on their part.
I produced a recipt of an adjusters inspection and she was a bit surprised and said I was double dipping the accident.
Since the work was done already.

I f*cked up and panicked after she telling me I can serve 15-20 on insurance fraud. I have to pay another $837 to Sigs auto because I signed a claims withdrawl. On both his policy and mine.
Withdrawl a claim under my policy # I can understand.
But under both? That is dirty bussiness.

I thought they record your conversation whenever you are making a claim?

If you submitted 2 claims for the same incident wouldn't they have recorded 2 seperate conversations?

just wondering!

Now that all makes sense I had another phone call from them after I made the inital call was asked the same questions again about the accident so that they have a case to cover their ***'s.
This phone call is after I picked up my car from SIGs auto body.
But they never specifide which claim they were calling on just to cover their mistake on the 2 claims filed on the day following the accident.
Jumping Jesus I think I've been hood winked.
I just signed a form to drop all claims. FU#K!

Try to reopen the claim and see what happens. You may need an attorney to get this resolved in your favor. It's kinda suspect that these folks just bowled you over.

Good luck if you pursue.

Exclamation

When I was shopping for car insurance. I did a full analysis of each insurance company. I was suprised that a dozen or so full review of geico insurance. 98% of the reviews were in favor of negative comments. These comments include employee's that decided to quit for moral and ethical reasons. Here is the link if you want to read some f**ked up stories

I'm still waiting for what I have to pay back since Sigs already did the body work
and gieco paid them before the work was started.
I still have not received a call.
Maybe they'll send me a bill.

**** them....do not pay them anything!

That's highway robbery! Get an attorney and sue for punitive damages!!!

I personally went with AIG when I was in Hawaii because they are a stand up company and I know the local President

Now I go with Progressive which hasn't done me wrong yet.

All the cheap insurance companies are crap. I had progressive and they did not help me at all. I got cut off in my 89 rx7 three days after i bought it. A witness saw the guy cut me off and i lost traction and spun into the center divide. Totalled the front end. I made a claim with progressive. I had a police report with all info from chp. My adjuster kept telling me that he was trying to resolve it. This went on for a few weeks. I just said f%uck it and called the other guy's insurance. The lady on the phone asked to fax the police report over to them. I did that and got a check two days later. I called progressive back and ripped them a new one. Useless.

I have had safeco for a while now. They are a stand up company. They have always been on my side.

Just my 2 cents

I hate PROGRESSIVE. Dont know about Geico though. Im sure they suck too. All these insurance companies say they are good and what not but it all comes down to when you need them and if they come through for you or not.
