You can thank all the idiots who are crashing their cars. I also have State Farm with 2 cars, homeowners, etc.. and they are jacking up my rates it seems every 6 months. The reason is the number of claims filed by other owners. I'm assuming the STi is in a different category then the WRX or are these rates going up too?
As much as I like my car I've actually had thoughts of moving on to something different just because of the insurance rates. I'm in my 30s, have a perfect record, yet I'm punished because of the type of car I own.

I concur w/Mehlt on this one. Often, your insurance costs depend on what kind of car your drive. I drive a Forester. Needless to say, my insurance isn't that expensive.

I have an insurance agent who's a broker for multiple companies, so he just runs the info and picks the best rate out of all of the companies he uses, we've been with travelers for 3 years (?) now, no complaints.

that sucks about insurance,..

I understand that if your car is a high theft risk then insurance might be high,..but if you have a good driving record they should reward you, not raise rates,..

It is the people who drive that get into accidents and if you are a good driver, why should you pay when other people crash?? Doesnt make sense,..

BTW,..call Geico or Allstate,..I got good quotes and even lower if you have "multiple car" rates or like if you have 2 cars with them,...

Only thing good with State Farm though is that if you have Comprehensive and you got rims, stereo and performance parts, State Farm will cover it if you take pictures and better yet have receipts,..They covered my other car and I have them with my current car now only cause of this reason,..

Geico and Allstate wont cover aftermarket stuff,..but cheaper insurance rates,..

I just paid my state farm yesterday, they helped us a lot b/c my insurance actually expired on May 7th, and she kept us on and gave me until yesterday to pay before she let the plan lapse, if we had let our plan lapse and we try to get another policy there or anywhere it would've sucked major, we both have 1 traffic violation each and 1 accident within the past three years and would've cost us lots and lots more, so now were paying $109 month for our 02 WRX, don't know if it helps that we have our life insurance there too. when we had our 97 prelude it was $120 less per year.
