the cobb catback is a bit soft, if you want that real loud boxer rumble then look for another one. my cats are still in so it could get louder after that, but i doubt by much
i do enjoy the sound though, its got the small extra grunt that an impreza should have.

Julio, after installing the downpipe, it will get loud!! Trust me.
Well... if you're running Cobb for EM, the choices of turbo are limited to the IHIs, but nevertheless they are good turbos. VF34 bro.

For exhaust if you wanna wake the dead go with the Nur Spec. I'm kinda scared but also excited about changing the midpipe, dp and uppipes as it is already loud with just axle-back. Might have to find a new exhaust as it may attract too much attention from 5-0

sakebomb: One dude was running a FP Green but he left the island. B'caz we don't have a AWD dyno, tuning will be the biggest problem if you decide to go anything bigger than the VF34. Don't get me wrong... the VFs are peanuts comparing to the Garretts. But I wouldn't go anything huge unless you have tuning knowledge and you're going to tune the car yourself... Cobb is definitely a winner, the exhaust sounds niiiiiice.
Transmission... okay, this is a bit tricky... is your car a daily driver? If it is, you should probably get something else b'caz I read online that dogbox will kill driveability. Perhaps, some RA gears?
Brembo will fit on a WRX but you'll need to run 17" rims or larger and larger offsets.

thanks luktang. yeah i have no experience street tuning but you gotta start somewhere. definately considering the cobb catback still. yeah i think im just gonna have the ra gears put in. the guys at speedgear said they are pretty much unbreakable as long as you dont get stupid. i think im gonna pick up some advans not sure what the offset is but ill be running 17s so i think they should clear. thanks for the wisdom.

Advans is sick! *drool* Yeah... the RA gears are "bombproof," but not "idiotproof." Not saying you're the latter but nothing is truly unbreakable... heh. BTW, what year do you have? 03 or 04?
