the InJen crossover pipe has a bigger diameter allowing more exhaust flow. Some ppl prefers the stock header because it retains the heat better (cast iron) so they just replace that restrictive place. The other factor might be cost.
I'll be picking one up soon and have it send for thermal coating along with port matching, thermal coating the stock header. Now I just need to get my lazy butt up and pack everything.

I dunno about what some of you have seen but ive taken my heat shield off the stock cross over pipe and found that it looked nearly the same as the injen one your planning on buying, i could be wrong, i mean the flex in the stock pipe is what your gonna find underneath the wire mesh in the injen one so yeah, just my .02, get a complete header and have it coated like luktang is doing, I think San had his done and he likes it.

this is just a question ive been sittin on for a while but kept forgetting to ask...i remember reading that it connects the #3 to the #4 exhaust port, so that would be the most restrictive part of our manifolds? the prices im seeing for these is like 250 and if i remember correctly the gruppe-s manifolds are around 350 or so...just didnt know exactly what the main advantage is of just changing out a part of the manifold as opposed to the whole thing...and why is injen the only company im seeing selling these things?

I dunno about this piece. I'd like to think that the stock pipe was engineered to balance flow from one side to the other. If the Injen piece were to be less restrictive then it could upset the balance of exhaust flow. Just something to consider. I'd rather go with a complete exhaust manifold than just a piece of one.
