they charged us 8 before the track closed down and this was 3 times a week during summer and 2 times during the week any other time. track looked and felt like ****

yea, i do understand there is always more than meets the eye. i just find it hard to believe that with the level of income that many of these business men have on the island (lets face it, its not cheap to live here let alone have a multimilion dollar summer home) there seems to be no one willing to sponsor this. on top of that, with the level of outcry to the local government you would think that there could be at least some sponsorship there. a new track would boost many areas of the economy here significantly as well as lower traffic infractions, injuries and fatalities.

You're right about that...we need a white knight. You'd think someone would think that a nice racing facility in HAWAII where the weather is beautiful 24/7 would consider it. Racing all year long only happens in a few locations across the US, usually just the West Coast.

by ugly, you mean hot and sexy?

Mmm, craft store... nice. I was thinking about going to a junk yard and getting a bunch of old appliances and just building a large object from random parts and then hook it up to the drive shaft of an old v8 and just get that thing spining real good, that would be soooo nice.

ok as far as the origional topic was concerned....i understand that if they could only make half *** repairs and couldn't put up andything permanent then maybe it's no their fault. wtf would you have been looking for a new place or planning something out years in advance if you knew you were gonna get closed? i mean they chose the rates to charge so the whole thing about them not making money is bull. they could have charged more and set it aside to maybe purchase a piece of land once they got closed. i guess hind sight is 20/20. anyways thanks archangelx for all the good info.
