That's completely normal as most companies can't absorb shipping on large items.
I've had that done to me over 100 times, honest. A re-quote is worked out and the decision is up to the customer if they want to continue or not. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

We do after all live in a place where shipping is most of the time, F'd up completely and UPS/FEDEX/webforms don't quote correctly.

I don't think that has ANY reflection of IIR, or any company for that matter.

They are good for a drop ship company. Like others have said, just know exactly what you are ordering when you do. I usually PM them on the other site to get a quote, as it is usually better than on the website, then call to order. Only issue I have had is with back ordered stuff that I had to inquire why I didn't get a tracking number. They answer pretty quickly though.

call em direct at irr. seems like there is a lot of people that want to order, the more you buy, the cheaper shipping costs and deeper parts discount. I suggest yall get together and order together.

Beware. Search my SN, it has been asked before. I actually filed a complaint on BBB. And my order was over 10k, heck shipping alone was over 2k.
He's cheap for a reason, but i ordered a few years ago, maybe his rep. has gotten better?

Braddah Chris, your testimonial is enough to steer me away from that vendor.

Aloha from the member formerly known as "Chibby Goku" (yes, I forgot the PW for that account and I don't remember the e-mail account either).

I've seen three (3) friends get burned by said vendor. I myself have never ordered from the vendor in question, so I can't vouch for them.

I will say that I will not order from them.

I ordered from http://cygnusperformance.com/

Seems like a really good and favored vendor on IWSTI.com He gave me free shipping on my Coilovers. But will see how long it takes to get here, dudes name is Geoff always replies back and is super friendly.

My only experience with Cygnus was favorable. I ordered my Com-C top hats from the time period when there was a bad batch that had bad bushings in them. My car has been down for 2 years for 2 motor builts and as such I'd only been able to put on a little under 1,000 miles on them. The time span also means I'm out of Whiteline's warranty period. I posted in a thread about Com Cs and Cygnus responded that even though I'm out of the manufacturer's warranty, they will replace it if it fails from being another defective bushing. That's what I call customer support.

I've ordered quite a few things, never had any issues. I usually just order through the website.
