Places to check out:
Iao Needle
Kaanapali Beach
Haleakala summit
Road to Hana
Black sand beach
Snorkeling tours
Places to eat:
Your best bet is Lahaina... that's the major tourist place.
Longhi's
Pacific O
Hula Grill
There's a pizza joint and a local food joint on Front Street... for the life of me... I can't remember the name but they are good.

Longhi's +1. Great food and if you sit at the bar, even greater people watching as they pass on the sidewalk. Plus who can resist Black & White checker floors... very NYC!

Should the ferry service start, imagine starting a cruise on Oahu and continuing to Maui...that would be kewl.
