if the guy you are talking about was like driving crazy/irresponsibly then ya he deserves to get biatch slapped. true there are thousands on this island who just got cars and are frikkin street racing like crazy, but there are a few who are responsible and are grateful for what they are given and don't need to prove that they have 300 hp under the hood. also i'm sure there are some guys here on i-club whose parents bought them a wrx or an sti and they put their own money modding it. i'm not hating on you, so don't take it the wrong way. o btw, i hope you're not talking about me. i have a black one with a gay blue "student parking permit" sticker on the bumper.

Bleh I hate rich kids...they have no sense of real life problems.
REAL LIFE problems like money and taking care of bills.
Rich Kid problems = my dad won't buy me that Armani and I can't get my maid to wash my clothes.

I agree and don't agree with you. Some are like that and some aren't.
When I got my license and done with High School, I choosed to follow the same path my dad did and come to Hawaii to study Master Business thing....My dad for no reason offer me to buy any kind of car I wanted. It took me 4 months to decide if I really needed a car since college is five minutes from where I live.
Just think about your dad telling you "this is your last chance to have the car you want, after it will be to late". What you will do in that case huh?
Guess what, I refused his offer since I didn't want to waste money and use the car only weekend
But one day Mitsubishi bring me an Evo at home for a test drive. They offered me a good price for the car. I changed my mind that time since the Evo cost three times the price in my country.
I guess I'm a lucky ****ing spoiled guy... but not my fault.
No offence.

Hey now guys...to each is own. Tell me you wouldn't have jumped at the chance when you were 16 to havea car like an STi. I know I did when I was that age. But I'm glad my parents didn't buy me a car like that. I worked for it and busted my *** to do it and I'm much happier to have done it myself. People like that never know what it takes to suffer and maybe they do...but for the most part, I wouldn't really care. I would love to have to never have to worry about money...

You must've done something really good in your past life so now you're getting rewarded. You choose not to buy a car... okay, (sorry for being blunt) BIG DEAL... if you choose to cut off your financial tie w/ your dad... and start from scratch... now that's a different story. JMO.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating. We are entitled to live the life of luxury if our financial conditions allow us to. There's nothing wrong with that. I just have an issue w/ ppl using "it's not my fault my parents are rich" type of excuse. Just be thankful.
No offense.

Well, at 16, no ride at all, since only 18 is the legal age to drive and get a licence in my Country.
I would say I was spoiled by my parents! they sponsored me for my years of University here in Hawaii, paid for everything (except for a car since I did not need one at all, ie bus everyday). I am blessed and thankful for their Help. I will never be able to reimbourse them unless I got rich one day! coz now I got a job and paying off my loan, I am being in debt everyday.
Just my 2 cents, but just let the rich kids being spoiled, everyone has its own life!
