If your car gets towed, will it mess up the AWD driveline?
I'm asking this question because my car almost got towed.... I have to be careful parking around downtown Honolulu.... people are ruthless about towing around here...and parking SUCKS!
just wondering..... Jeremy

almost towed my car onced, its good thing I caught them on time. They had the front up with the rear wheels still on the ground, I had my window down I guess the dumb a$$ thought releasing my parking brake was enuf. I warned him that if he move my car
a yard expect to pay big bucks. He thought that he knows better
and tried to move anyway. I screamed at him that its an AWD and im a freaking mechanic for Subaru. He then lowered the car and ask for $50 "drop fee".

thats kinda too much to ask. mall security people always call my car a suzuki( i have my rear subaru debadged) when they give me parking violations. and I guess if they ever ask what brand my car is, I'll just say momo
But I'm sure it could be a disadvantage because you didn't have the AWD sticker on your rear. Alot of tow drivers aren't dumb but some are. Steven, the towing guy who used to patrol our building tried to tow a SUV with AWD(not 4WD) and it made squeaking noises on the way out, then he tried dolleying it. That makes me think alot of guys don't realize it.
